Imagine a relationship between personality, personal values of people and their preferences in products.
Resonant Lights was a research project in which I investigated this topic through an explorative user study in which users were mapped according to their personality type (based on a MBTI score) and their personal values (based on a Schwartz value survey). Besides that users were asked to bring a cherished object and describe what they liked about it through both a quantitative and qualitative questionnaire.
From the results of this study a hypothesis was formulated that was tested through the design of two lamps that functioned as physical hypothesis.
