Music Box | 2007 | TU/e ID Master

I have tried to translate the value of a relationship that, in an historical context, was shown through the gift of a music box into a modern version. By doing so a hybrid between tradition and the modern age was created.

This music box is meant to be carried along with one, and is therefore compact when closed. Opening the music box is an intimate experience, which can only be done by holding it in both hands, like a precious object, and using ones thumbs to push it open, as shown in the movie.
